About the event
Now is the best time to see what we got… brutal climb but worth the view. Pavement to dirt. MTB's and Gravel bikes are needed for success.
Ride in from wherever you want and we’ll assemble at the cinema parking lot (2:00pm) and assault the summit together. Up Deer Park Road and around the gate on the dirt... NO CARS this time of year and no dust. Once they open the gate, it's like playing Russian Roulette.
The afternoon start is to ensure the sun is high (for visibility) and the temps are warm (because there's still a little snow at the top) and it gives us the best lighting for the washboards and ruts on the descent.
